Dangerous Beauty Gown
The "Seduction gown" from Dangerous Beauty
No, I do not make a practice of making clothing from movies, unless the movie is incredibly accurate...and we know how often that happens!
My good friend Countess Lailiane is a staunch early period chick...give her Byzantine or give her death. The problem is that she has an amazing body and is so very attractive...she is ideal for late period.
I begged, pleaded, cajoled, and finally whined until she agreed to let me do something for her and to wear it. She still wouldn't let me take her all the way to Elizabethan, as she adamantly refused to wear a corset. So we started talking, and she mentioned that she loved the clothing in Dangerous Beauty. Note - the clothing in Dangerous Beauty is incredibly accurate if you don't count the courtesans clothing. But of course she wanted the dress from the scene where Veronica seduces King Henri of France. It wasn't a horrible design, but definitely Hollywooded up a bit. So I hemmed and hawed and finally agreed to do it.
So, here it is...looks pretty good!
